I was born
on the Isle of Wight some 35 years ago and given up for adoption
at 6 weeks. I was given to Edna and Tony, They had been praying
for 20 years for a child, God told them to be patient and to
wait upon him because he had the right child for them! That was
me. We lived in Fleet in Hampshire, my mum and dad were members
of the Methodist Church (however they were not denominationalists).
They believed that to be saved you had to know Jesus in your
heart. They taught that truth to me. I grew up knowing Jesus
and took part in all sorts of ministries which they were involved
in. I saw people being heeled and lives been changed. However
when I was 5 my dad died and my mum felt she wanted to move away
back to where her family came from. So we moved to Sheffield,
Yorkshire. We then went to a small Baptist Church, where I soon
became part of life there. At school I didn't have an easy time,
because I spoke with a southern accent and I befriended people
who were misfits. I wanted them to know Jesus and feel secure
in that knowledge. Having got over that hurdle I was Baptised
at 13( the youngest person in the church to have made that commitment).
Having left school I began working in a crèche and then
eventually gaining a job as a nanny (where I still work). Last
year I married Pete and moved to Wakefield. I began going to
a new Church. God took me to this one Because although I loved
the Lord and knew him I needed to be taught and trained in the
facts of the Bible. I hungered for the word and still do. Pete
and I gained a brand new computer from one of Pete's many jobs.
One day I went for a surf on the Internet, praying I would find
a correspondence course that would help me grow and understand
what God wanted for my life........ Yes I found WBS first off.
I began doing a course on "The Book," and I went on
to finish this course and joined the online chat studies with
Vic Vadney. So much has been explained to me and I've grown over
the past months. I can show people where verses are and explain
what they mean. I want to really to encourage people to do these
courses because you really need to know the truth so we can pass
it on effectively, also you can grow at your own pace and with
the study helpers help answer the questions which you have. My
favourite passage from the Bible is Psalm 139. I hold on to each
verse believing each word of it,. I have many hobbies, I love
walking my 2 Shetland sheepdogs (Shelties) and Cross-stitch sewing
when I get the time. I love to study and read Gods word, I spend
part of each day reading the good news and sharing with various
people, on the bus when going to work!!!
