The Gift of GivingWBS Teacher Testimonials
Samuel Oduku
WBS Teacher from Ghana, W. Africa

“For the promise is unto you and to your children and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call”  Acts 2:39.

“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others” - 2 Timothy 2:2.

In 1976, I realized that the gospel of Christ is like a long chain which directs all men who obey the gospel unto the Lord.  The chain therefore must not be broken.  I heard of WBS and the Bible correspondence and decided there and then to be a part of this group whose mission it has been to lead men unto Christ.

I have been a WBS teacher and follow up worker for 12 years.  It is wonderful to hear testimonies sometimes presented to me by some of the WBS students who have enrolled.  In short, their lives have been changed, totally transformed by Christ.  Now they teach others about Jesus.  Many testify that they thought they were Christians even before coming to Christ but the WBS lessons helped them have a deep study of the Scriptures.  I am encouraged by the number of WBS students who turn to God.  I feel I can still do more and wake up always facing the challenge.  We have thousands of students enrolled in WBS in Africa.

As a WBS teacher, I have seen a vast improvement within myself as I have to keep on studying the word of God to be able to teach others.  God has blessed my work with WBS and today I can conveniently say that there is a WBS office in Takoradi, Ghana.  This has been a blessing that the Lord has bestowed on us as we labor together in the field.  I am always grateful to God for allowing me to labor with a devout team of Christians who feel for the needs of the poor and really go beyond all bounds to satisfy those needs.  I pray God strengthens all works of WBS and opens the hearts of all WBS students to learn with all diligence.  I am thankful to work in the divine vineyard of the Lord.
