I am 72 years
old, married (for 51 years), and have 2 grown children. My wife and
I live in Belton, Texas, USA (Belton is in the central part of Texas).
We retired 9 years ago from Midland, Texas where we worked in banking oil
& gas accounting and data processing managing for 18 years. Prior
to that we lived in Fort Worth, Texas where we were in the florist business
for 23 years and then 5 years in banking. Now retired,
we are very active in our church, the Belton Church of Christ where we are
in charge of the Beacons Senior Adults group and also in charge of the contribution
counting committee. Our church has about 1100 members. The Beacons
are active in many good works, the most important being taking food baskets
to hospital visitation rooms and to shut-ins. The Beacons also take
several one day trips each year to interesting places around Texas.
Why I Am a WBS Teacher I have about
60 WBS Internet students worldwide, but only about a half dozen are active.
Thank you so much for responding. God will richly bless your
study of the Bible. I am learning so much from my WBS Internet students
and I too need a better understanding of the Bible. Hobbies / Interests I have been
a life long pilot and aviation enthusiast with about 1000 hours of logged
flight time, a commercial pilot's license and instrument rating. We
have owned 3 airplanes through the years. However, I developed diabetes
about 20 years ago so can no longer pass my pilots license medical.
So now, I satisfy my love of aviation with my computer, flying Microsoft
Flight Simulator. I've been flying the computer for about 15 years.
