Then He suffered trials and crucifixion that "He might taste death for everyone" (Hebrews 2:9). He absorbed every blow. He served our full sentence. He proved these things by again doing the impossible-rising from the grave! The Bible boldly announces:

God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for usFor if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! (Romans 5:8,10)

To be "reconciled" means to stop being enemies and start being friends. The Judge Himself fulfills the demands of justice and clears our record. He turns out to be the very "Friend" we need. "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). He is the "Father" who fulfills His plan for us "to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ." (Ephesians 1:5)

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (1 John 3:1).

A child develops confidence if his father is dependable. In the same way, we should find and feel safety in our Father's love. (1 John 4:17-18)

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

To doubt God's ability and care is to dishonor Him. To dodge the terms of His invitation is to rebel. To truly honor Him is to trust and obey (Matthew 7). As God directs, we enter Christ's saving death in baptism (Romans 6; Mark 16:16; Acts 22:16). We live with Him and so continue to be cleansed.

If we walk in the lightthe blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)

What stain remains to distance you from your Father? He snaps every sin-chain and casts away "ALL sin!" Thus the Almighty breaks the accuser's trap.

Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies! (Romans 8:33)

John agrees:

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. (1 John 5:13)

You can "know." What positive assurance! You can "have." What a possession-with much more to come! World Bible School helps you learn the message of the Maker and Masterso that you can meet Him as Father and Friend!
